TIn 1998, a young man from Udaipur walked into a natural stone quarry in Badnor village, Rajasthan — and fell in love with stone. Not with its appearance alone. But with its soul. The weight of it. The grain of it. The way each piece holds within it millions of years of the earth's own story. That young man was Tarun Dave — and that moment became the beginning of a journey that would span 25 years, 29 countries, and two companies built from absolute zero. By 2001, Tarun had turned his quarry experience into an export business — supplying India's finest slate, sandstone, marble, and granite to buyers across the USA, UK, Italy, China, Turkey, the UAE, and beyond. He walked the floors of international stone exhibitions on four continents. He didn't just sell stone. He understood what the world wanted from it. In 2012, he channelled two decades of international expertise into building a premium stone manufacturing venture in Udaipur — developing products, setting up machinery, building sourcing networks, and creating a brand that brought natural stone design into the modern age. Then, in 2021, he had to walk away from everything he had built. The very next day, he started again. No machines. No factory. No office. No team. Just 24 years of experience, a lifetime of relationships across the stone industry, and an emotion so strong it became a company name — Stone Emotions LLP.
